COMMITTEE NAME:   Hospitality

 

CURRENT CHAIR:  Amy Finn (Cell: 240-432-5140) & PTO Board 

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMMITTEE’S WORK:  

  • Responsible for recognizing school staff/teachers throughout the year by organizing events as well as Staff Appreciation Week

  • Chair will coordinate meals/baking items 

  • Committee Chair to communicate volunteer needs to our parents

  • Works closely with classroom parents to organize Staff and Teacher Appreciation recognition to ensure effective communication to families 

  • The Committee Chair will be responsible for suggesting which restaurants the school will partner with (if applicable- IE: Moe’s, Antonio’s etc…)

  • Attend monthly PTO meetings and present updates as needed

  • Teacher appreciation week need to ask for parent volunteers

  • Presents plan and budget to PTO board for approval 

 

SCHEDULED EVENTS (WITH DATES IF AVAILABLE): 

  • Teachers back to school lunch (Day before school starts in Aug)

    • Late summer planning: Meals for 60 people

 

  • Teacher appreciation week

    • Begin planning over late winter for a 5 day event

    • Buy flowers for children to purchase and give to teachers

    • Coffee cart day

    • Massage day

    • Admin does provide 1 day of event (typically a Fri) Provided by Principal

    • Any additional ideas you may have

 

  • Staff appreciation lunch (during the school year)

  • May add additional activities if you choose

    • IE: Welcome notes from kids written w/chalk by the front entrance 

 

CAN WORK BE DONE OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL?  

  • Planning yes

  • Events are all at school
