Room Parent Team

COMMITTEE NAME: Room Parent Coordinator and Room Parent Grade Level Leads

 

CURRENT CHAIR: 

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMMITTEE’S WORK: 

  • The Room Parent Coordinator is the administrator for all room-parent activities

  • Will host orientation for all room parent leads & room parent volunteers

  • There will be a monthly touch base with all the room parent leads to discuss the events for that month so the leads will be able to communicate the events to all room parents

  • They establish an event procedure for each event

  • Attend monthly PTO meetings and present updates as needed

 

SCHEDULED EVENTS (WITH DATES IF AVAILABLE): 

 

CAN WORK BE DONE OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL? 

  • Yes and No

  • Planning can be done at home; however, the coordinator will have to meet with the leads & room parents at the beginning of the school year for 1 hour

 

ROUGH ESTIMATE OF HOURS INVOLVED AS CHAIR/MEMBER:  

  • 1-2 hours during the first week of school

  • Then about 1 hour per month
